Computer Requirements

To pursue your translation studies via the Internet, you must have equipment and peripherals which meet the following minimal requirements:

- a 486MHz computer (a 166MHz Pentium is preferable)

- 16MB of RAM (32MB is preferable)

- Windows 95 or higher, or Macintosh

- a CD-ROM drive

- a 28K modem (56K is preferable)

- a 15" monitor

- a 800 x 600 resolution 256-colour graphics card

- Acrobat Reader

- A web browser: Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher or Netscape 4.5 or higher (Netscape 6.0 is not recommended due to compatibility problems)

- Microsoft Word 97 or higher, or WordPerfect Suite 8 or higher
